ViewFind is a visual storytelling startup that acts as both an editorial publication platform and an agency for brand stories. The aim of this mobile app was to adapt the responsive website to a version suited for the mobile landscape with consideration to both its physical and usage constraints.
Through user research and testing, I decided to exclude the story submission and publication functionalities to focus the app on content and social aspects. While it would be cumbersome and inefficient to submit or edit lengthy photo stories on the small real estate of a smartphone screen, ViewFind’s easily digestible content was perfect for on-the-go consumption: the dual longform and slideshow formats of stories accommodated both scrolling and swiping users, and stories and authors could be easily liked and shared.
